Electronic three-piece Innerpartysystem - Patrick Nissley (vocals), Jared Piccone (drums), and Kris Barman (synth, guitar) – are set to release their new 6-song EP, Never Be Content, digitally across all platforms on Feb 22, 2011, and physically on March 29, 2011, on Red Bull Records. Never Be Content, which introduces an expanded electronic soundscape for the band, was recorded at their home studio in Pennsylvania, as well as Hoboken, NJ, Los Angeles and London. While the trio recorded and produced most of the tracks themselves, renowned producer Richard X (MIA, Kelis, Annie, Rachel Stevens) contributed additional production and mixing.

The songs on Never Be Content, born near the end of the band’s extensive touring behind their 2008 self-titled debut, reflect an organic shift in their creative output. The punk rock edge of their earlier music falls into the background in this new set of songs and at the forefront is a compelling brand of electronic dance music. Self-described gearheads with an infatuation for synthesizing sounds, Innerpartysystem took off their headphones just long enough to decide on the EP’s title. Beyond that, they could be found with headphones firmly planted against their ears, building, re-tooling, layering, and tinkering with the new songs that have now come to mark an exciting evolution for the band.

Drawing inspiration from genres that span classic rock to drum and bass to smooth jazz to metal is just a run-of the-mill day for this band. With an appealing pop sensibility and a finely-tuned songcraft, Never Be Content, which includes a new edit of current single “American Trash,” runs the gambit from the melodic, bubbling “Squid” to the evocative and dance-floor friendly “Not Getting Any Better” to the crunchy, moody synths of “Money.” With a producer’s mindset and a songwriter’s pen, Innerpartysystem dove into discovering, creating and manipulating a new universe of musical influences, sonic textures and programming techniques. The result is an EP rich with innovation and originality.

2011 once again finds Innerpartysystem on the road this February for support dates with seminal Australian band Pendulum and four newly announced headlining dates in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Chicago and Kansas City, as well as a stop at this year’s SXSW with more dates to be announced soon.  Innerpartysystem spent the better part of 2010 on tour, which included headlining dates and DJ sets, a support slot on the Nylon Fall Music Tour, an epic set at this year's Voodoo Fest and a series of holiday radio shows for KTCL Denver, X96 Salt Lake and KRBZ Kansas City alongside My Chemical Romance, 3OH!3 and OK Go. A mind-blowing display of the most cutting-edge and sophisticated DIY electronic music that you’ve heard in years,  the band hand-manipulates loops and effects live on stage with incredible precision and brilliant improvisation; their use of live drums and an out-of-this-world, hand-programmed light show create a riveting, mesmerizing live set.

Not just a band who can produce dance beats, Innerpartysystem’s fresh approach to electronic music, both in recording and performing techniques, only scratches the surface of their vast artistic palette which includes both the aural and visual. Their passion for visual, interactive art is a vital part of their creative aesthetic, like the piece of “trash art” – an impressive 8’ x 12’ American flag constructed solely of trash – they created for a contest in Denver where their 2010 single “American Trash” is currently the #3 best-selling alternative track.  While the trio spends much of their time on the road, they’ve found time – between the hotels, buses and venues – to become in-demand remixers for the likes of Katy Perry, Keane, The Killers, 30 Seconds To Mars, Cobra Starship and more.

It’s been a steady climb for group since the release of their 2007 EP, The Download EP . Innerpartysystem caught the attention of renowned producers including Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, Jesus & Mary Chain, the Killers), Stuart Price (Madonna, New Order, Seal), Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Massive Attack, Bjork, Madonna), Joel Hamilton (Book of Knots, Sparklehorse, Blue Tip), and Mark Needham (The Killers, Pete Yorn), all of whom contributed to the band’s self-titled debut album, released in 2008 on Island Def Jam.  Since then, the band has toured non-stop, sharing the stage with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to 3OH!3. They’ve had sold out headlining tours in the US and UK, and made a name for themselves at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Vans’ Warped Tour, Projekt Revolution (Europe), SXSW, Give It A Name (Europe), and Soundwave (Australia). They recently signed to Red Bull Records.
